One good thing about most of the "Product" selling Sites is the Online Chat Support they have - which certainly saves time of users (like me) visiting the site for some very specific information (gathering info about some Investment Scheme / applying for a Loan) and such users would obviously not remain on the site for long. Now, this made me think why don't we have Chat functionality for Search Engines as well. I mean many a times I just wake up, check my mails and go to Google and think...now what? I might not think about the correct set of "keywords" in order to get the spontaneous and logicaly & mathematically correct results. And then I think that for sure there would be many others like me too.
And then going by the business sense too, from companies' perspective they can grab a customer pretty quickly if they get customers the required information instantly. Imagine in our ever busy lives where 24 hours seem too short, the "Live Chat" can actually save on our time on a continual basis. Infact there are many great people doing this already say ALICE - an A. I. chat robot. So why not have our Search Giants incorporate this as well??
I congratulated myself upon this discovery and thought about letting Google/Yahoo know about the same. But then seems my friend from NY already though about this before ;) Go have a look urself !

From those times, when even the messenger was such a big chat to exchange personal chats, business chats etc, the
"chat" world was an immense hit!But now, even organising big events and attracting users from different corners of the world , by big giants like google has also become so easy ; viz organising speaker series etc and helping the user sitting at that remote corner of the world to join the event by just clicking that " chat now" button.Even the iuser has the flexibility to ask questions to the experts online then and there; so the exchange of information happens in just a few milliseconds which is a flamboyant success in the chat world!! Cheers to these innovations of "chat" .. I totally agree with this well written post by Chinmay which instigates the mind to think that "Its possible", and "Its worthy"!!!
janaab aap to google ke revenue model ki le lenge....they are building this huge database around keywords that different people will think of when looking for something....and then google will charge companies for sharing with them this information on "adwords".....BTW our very own Mahesh Murthy also runs a company on a similar concept
Interestin :-) Some marketing websites have started doin this stuff, but really, but not the mammoth search engines that are used by the whole world ! The "Google Brain" video is brainy :-)
Take care.
search engine is a useful tool..it saves time & help us get authentic information quickly but it is certainly not the ultimate thing.
It is a MENU CARD..but the pleasure of preparing a dish in one's own innovative / speciasiled way is always thrilling.
Let us continue to be creative .We may use search engine to ensure that we don't invent wheel.. we invent or discover..what is unknown or non-existing today.
very interesting blog..quite a thought-provoking one.
